Novak Djokovic further cemented his spot as the men's world tennis number one after he beat Roger Federer in two sets at the ATP world tour final in London today.

Djokovic follows in the footsteps of David Nalbandian as only the second player to beat Federer in an ATP world tour final.

Djokovic, who began the year by winning the Australian Open, came from behind in both sets to end Federer's hopes of a seventh title at the year-ending tournament.

The 25-year-old hit back from 3-0 down in the first set and then trailed again in the second before claiming victory after just over two hours of play.
