Wallabies test against England takes on World Cup significance

The Wallabies' test against England this weekend has taken on greater significance as the ranking race ahead of the Rugby World Cup draw heats up.

Australia's 33-6 loss to France last weekend meant the Wallabies dropped from second to third on the world rankings and another heavy loss at Twickenham would put them in danger of missing out on a place in the top four.

The top four will be the seeded teams in each World Cup group, meaning they'll avoid each other until the knockout stages of the tournament which will be held in England in 2015.
