World men's tennis number one Novak Djokovic says the sport needs Rafael Nadal back playing.
The curtain came down on a stellar year for men's tennis on Tuesday with Djokovic beating Roger Federer to win the season-ending ATP World Tour finals in London.
There were four different winners in grand slams this year, with French Open champion Nadal not having played since suffering a knee injury at Wimbledon - won by the Swiss great Federer.
Djokovic, the Australian Open champion, says they need Nadal back.
Nadal says he'll miss the Davis Cup final, but is hopefully of playing the Australian Open.
Scotland's Andy Murray won the US Open for his maiden major title.
