The Serb finishes as world No.1 for the second year in a row, 2,655 points ahead of the Swiss ace, with Andy Murray in third place and Rafael Nadal fourth despite being on the injury sidelines since July.

It was a spectacular years in the men's game, which produced four different winners of the grand slams and many unforgettable duels, but Federer believes 2013 could be even better if court surfaces were made faster, which would reward attacking play.
