The Auckland Aces beat the Wellington Firebirds by five wickets in their HRV Cup Twenty20 cricket match in Wellington last night.
The Firebirds posted 116 in the first innings, before the Aces successfully chased down the target after 17.1 overs.
Earlier, the dismissal of Jesse Ryder for 9 triggered a mini collapse as the Firebirds were reduced to 33 for four.
