The Australian midfield back Pat McCabe will be out for rugby for at least three months after scans showed he has a fractured neck.
McCabe suffered the injury in Australia's tour-opening 33-6 loss to France and withdrew from the side for the second test against England midweek.
The Wallabies won the match at Twickenham 20-14.
