Red Bull address Vettel's "ticking time bomb"

Red Bull and Renault will be working frantically to ensure Sebastian Vettel doesn't go into next weekend's formula one title showdown in Brazil with a 'ticking time bomb' deep inside his car.

Vettel leads Ferrari's Fernando Alonso by 13 points ahead of the final round at Interlagos after finishing runner-up to McLaren's Lewis Hamilton in yesterday's U.S Grand Prix in Texas.

But Red Bull's celebrations after winning the constructors' title again were muted by Vettel being denied his third successive crown for at least another week, and reliability problems after their third alternator failure this year which ended Mark Webber's race yesterday.

Similar failures cost Vettel dearly at the European and Italian Grands Prix.

Vettel will win the title in Brazil if he finishes in the top four.
