Former world tennis number twos Vera Zvonareva and Svetlana Kuznetsova will both be in Auckland next month playing in the women's ASB Classic.
The two Russians will join top seed and current world number four Agnieszka Radwanska in the Auckland tournament, which begins on New Year's Eve.
The New Zealand number one Marina Erakovic, currently 67th in the world, will also play.
Last year's champion, the Chinese player Zheng Jie, returns to defend her title while the 2010 champion and 2011 runner-up Belgian Yanina Wickmeyer is among the favourites.
