The Australian netballer Madison Browne swept the 2012 Australian Netball Awards in Melbourne last night, winning the coveted Liz Ellis Diamond, ANZ Championship and International Player of the Year honours.

Browne became the first player since the inception of the Liz Ellis Diamond in 2008 to claim all three individual honours, which is recognition of a remarkable twelve months for the 24-year old.

The nippy midcourter established herself as the country's premier wing attack after a stellar season with the Melbourne Vixens, and appeared in eight of the nine Australian Diamonds' international Tests.
