Australia close in on second test victory against South Africa

6:35 am on 26 November 2012

The Australian cricketers are on the brink of victory going into the final day of their second test against South Africa in Adelaide.

A fired-up Australia bowling attack ran through South Africa's top order late on the fourth day to have the tourists staggering at 77 for 4, 353 runs adrift of their target.

South Africa's faint hopes will rest with all-rounder Kallis, who battled a hamstring strain to score a half-century in the first innings, while Australia have lost their pace bowler James Pattinson for the rest of the series with a rib injury.
