Storm coach furious about early season draw

6:10 am on 27 November 2012

The premiership-winning Melbourne Storm league coach Craig Bellamy is threatening to withdraw some of his players from their new season second round match against North Queensland, claiming the NRL draw they've been given threatens their health.

The Storm play the Cowboys in the heat of North Queensland on Saturday March the 16th in the evening, and the following Thursday they're at home for a grand-final rematch against the Canterbury Bulldogs.

Bellamy says they've been treated unfairly in the draw having been given five 5-day turnarounds between matches, more than any other team.

He suggests the NRL should follow Aussie Ruloes lead and give clubs at least a few days to voice any concerns about the draw.
