Tim Sheens has been re-appointed Australia Rugby League coach for a fifth term.

While preparing Australia for the 2013 World Cup in the UK, Sheens will also assist with the national high performance program.

Sheens has accepted the new role for a 12-month term.

During his time as coach of the Australian Kangaroos the team has played in 18 matches with only one loss in the 2010 final of the Four Nations in Brisbane, but reclaiming the World Cup trophy that the Ricky Stuart coached Kangaroos lost to New Zealand in 2008 is his priority.
