The Central Pulse have finished runners-up to trans-Tasman netball rivals the West Coast Fever at the inaugural World Premier Club Challenge in Glasgow after losing 53-47 to their trans-Tasman opponents on Monday morning.

The Pulse were missing key players like Silver Fern Katrina Grant and new signing Donna Wilkins at the tournament, which featured six elite netball teams from around the world.

But former Silver Fern Leana Leota, who's making a comeback to the ANZ Championship next year for the Pulse, showed she still has what it takes, being named player of the tournament.
