Otago have moved to second place in the Plunket Shield cricket standings after scoring a 3 wicket victory over Auckland at Eden Park yesterday.
Otago are now on 50 points, 13 behind Central Districts, while Auckland are 16 points back in third.
Meanwhile heading into day four in Hamilton, Canterbury are 22 without loss chasing 425 to beat Northern Districts.
