The legendary European jockey Frankie Dettori has been banned from riding in French races for six months after returning a positive dope test at Longchamp in Paris in September.
The 41-year-old Italian tested positive for an unidentified substance, and it follows a six months suspension for a similar offence in 2006.
The British-based jockey is most famous for winning all seven races in one afternoon at Ascot in 1996, costing bookmakers millions of pounds.
