Black Sticks women come from behind to beat India 3-1

The New Zealand women's hockey team have come from behind to collect a 3-1 victory and maintain their unbeaten run against India in Napier on Sunday.

The Indian side took the lead in the second spell after the teams were locked at nil-all at the halftime break, but three late goals gave the Black Sticks the win.

The Black Sticks finally got on the scoreboard through a field goal to Canterbury's Sian Fremaux after a goal circle scramble.

Wellington's Anita Punt gave the home side the lead with a penalty corner flick, and Charlotte Harrison made sure of the victory with a nice deflection.

The BlackStickshave a rest today before the third and fourth tests in the six-test series in Palmerston North tomorrow and Wednesday.

The final two games will be in Wellington on December the 14th and 15th at the National Hockey Stadium in Newtown.
