Bangladesh moves ahead of New Zealand in ODI rankings

Bangladesh's series win over the West Indies in the five-match One Day International cricket series has helped it move ahead of New Zealand to eighth place in the ICC ODI Championship table.

The biggest mover in the latest Player Rankings for ODI bowlers is West Indies spinner Sunil Narine, who has jumped eight places to third position.

This means the top three positions in the bowlers' table are held by spinners, with the Pakistan duo of Saeed Ajmal and Mohammad Hafeez holding the top two positions. Overall, there are six spinners inside the top 10.

The race to become the number one-ranked batsman has just become even more exciting following England's seven-wicket win over India at Kolkata.

The England captain Alastair Cook has jumped one place to fourth, just five ratings points adrift of the number-one ranked Shivnarine Chanderpaul of India.

The recently dumped New Zealand captain Ross Taylor has moved up one place to eighth in the batting rankings.
