The New Zealand Breakers have conceded a share of the lead to their fierce rivals the Perth Wildcats, who posted two good wins in the Australian National Basketball league at the weekend, while the champions were toppled 75-62 by the Sydney Kings.
The Breakers coach Andrej Lemanis lamented their lack of intensity on defence as Sydney scored the first seven points and led throughout.
But Lemanis is welcoming the chance to back up quickly against Cairns on Thursday.
