The New Zealand men's hockey team has held onto sixth place in the latest world rankings.

Despite a disappointing Champions Trophy tournament in Melbourne last week where they won just one match, the Black Sticks hold onto their position.

The top four places remain unchanged with Germany number one from Champions Trophy champions Australia with the Netherlands third and England fourth.

Thanks to their Bronze medal at the Champions Trophy, Pakistan are the most improved nation in the top 10, having leapt from ninth place to fifth.

The New Zealand women remain third although their rankings haven't been updated since the London Olympics.
