Nathan Cohen wants a change of boat

6:08 am on 14 December 2012

Olympic rowing champion Nathan Cohen would like to change boats next year.

Cohen combined with Joseph Sullivan to win the double sculls in London this year to add to the two world titles they won in 2011 and 2010.

Cohen has rowed the last two Olympic campaigns in the double and the 26-year-old feels now might be time for a change.

He says he'd like to try the quad next year, feeling the enthusiasim of the young guys coming through will be a great motivation for him.

Cohen says everything will depend on him gaining selection into the elite squad and what the selectors prefer.

However he's very keen to keep going for another four years, putting any financial concerns behind him. Cohen says he feels he's still got some improvement in him.

Cohen is looking forward to having his first Christmas off in 10 years and return to full training in January.
