White says Taylor wasn't lied to

New Zealand Cricket says it doesn't accept Ross Taylor was lied to when he was sacked as Black Caps captain.

Coach Mike Hesson has maintained he only wanted to replace Taylor with Brendon McCullum for one day and Twenty20 formats.

But Taylor believes he was lied to and that Hesson wanted to replace him as test captain too.

Last week NZ Cricket chairman Chris Moller said new information had come to light over the conversation Hesson and Taylor had during the recent tour of Sri Lanka.

Moller wouldn't say what that information was but chief executive David White says they've now had the chance to study all the information provided following the change in captaincy and he doesn't believe Taylor was lied to.

White says in the wake of the criticism of its handling of the matter it will hold a former captains meeting in the New Year, in an effort to open better lines of communication.
