Herbert's had enough

The Phoenix football coach Ricki Herbert's keen to move on from the destabilising talk about his position in charge of the Wellington A-League club.

Herbert's been fielding multiple media enquiries over speculation his job is on the line over a dour style of defensive football, after one of the new owners, Gareth Morgan, demanded a more attacking approach.

Now Herbert's had enough.

He says the board's incredibly good and whatever comments have come out are in the best interests of the club, and he's here for the long haul.

The transfer window opens in January and Herbert's not saying if he'll move to bolster his strike force.
