The champions Celtic have gone seven points clear in Scottish football's first division, with a game in hand on their nearest rivals Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Celtic won 2-0 at bottom side Dundee while Inverness drew 2-2 at home to St. Mirren.

Fourth-placed Hibernian suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at home to second-bottom Ross County while Motherwell consolidated their hold on third with a 4-1 thumping of visitors Aberdeen.

Hearts' struggles continue, losing 1-0 at Kilmarnock, who move into the Championship play-off zone, while Hearts are ninth.

Rangers are romping away with the third division, the disgraced former giants 12 points clear after a comfortable 3-0 home victory over Clyde.
