Radwanska unfazed by switch of opponent

The top seed at the Auckland tennis Classic Agnieska Radwanska will play either a qualifier or a lucky loser in her first round, after Radwanska's scheduled French opponent Kristina Mladenovic was forced to withdraw today with a wrist injury.

Radwanska only arrived yesterday for the tournament, which gets underway tomorrow, but the world number four's not fazed by having less time than most of the other players to acclimatise, and the Polish star is equally philosophical about facing an unknown qualifier in her opening match on Tuesday.

She says the first matches after an off season are always tough and says practice never replicates a real game but is looking forward to her first match.

The last New Zealander left in the qualifying tournament has lost to the 2011 champion Greta Arn in straight sets, the 33-year-old Hungarian beat Wanganui's Emma Hayman 6-3 6-2 on centre court.
