Phoenix say reinforcements won't be needed

Fears the Wellington Phoenix football side would need replacements after last night's bruising A-League loss at the Brisbane Roar have subsided.

Post-match reports out of Suncorp Stadium stated facial injuries to both Leo Bertos and Alexander Smith would necessitate reinforcements for this weekend's showdown with Melbourne Victory.

But Phoenix management says both players are fit for selection.

Cameron Lindsay will replace the suspended Tyler Boyd.

Boyd earned two yellow cards in the round 14 encounter and the Phoenix finished the game with nine men.
