New Zealand cricketers to still finalise their bowling attack

11:32 am on 2 January 2013

The New Zealand cricket captain says 10 of the 11 spots in the Black Caps first test team to take on South Africa from tonight at Newlands have been decided.

Brendon McCullum says a final look at the wicket on the morning of the test will help them finalise the make up of their bowling attack.

McCullum is surprised by the number of cracks in the wicket before the test has even begun

In the absence of the injured Peter Fulton, McCullum says he'll open the batting with Martin Guptill while Kane Williamson will bat at number three.
