The Perth Wildcats coach coach Rob Beveridge says it's too soon to claim the National Basketball League is a two-horse race between the Wildcats and the New Zealand Breakers, even though the ladder suggests otherwise at the half-way stage of the season.
The final round of 2012, which included three matches on New Year's Eve, ended with the perennial contenders firmly entrenched in the top two spots and a gap between the top four and the rest.
The two-time defending champion Breakers consolidated top spot by winning 71-66 in Adelaide and 66-61 in Cairns.

Beveridge says it's too soon to declare New Zealand and Perth as the class outfits of the competition and says Perth have got a lot of room for growth.
