Competition leaders the New Zealand Breakers have narrowly beaten the Wollongong Hawks 78-76 in their Australian National Basketball league match.

The Breakers were pushed close in a frenetic final quarter but were guided to the win by CJ Bruton and Tom Abercrombie, with Bruton's three pointer with just under a minute to play proving the diffference.

Cedric Jackson was a force at both ends of the court for the Breakers scoring 11 points and making six assists and five steals, while Will Hudson and Alex Pledger top scored with 14 points apiece.
