Blatter warns walk-offs in face of racism could lead to forfeitures

Updated at 1:51 pm on 8 January 2013

The FIFA president doesn't believe the AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng's decision to walk off the pitch during a friendly this week was the correct response to racist abuse.

Sepp Blatter has warned club they risk forfeiting matches if there's any repeat.

Boeting led his players off the pitch in a friendly match at lower-division side Pro Patria after being subjected to racist chants.

Blatter says football must take a zero tolerance to racism but suggested clubs would have to forfeit their matches if players forced the abandonment of games.
