Defending champions Novak Djokovic and Victoria Azarenka have been confirmed top seeds for next week's Australian Open tennis tournament.
The world number ones unsurprisingly topped the official seeding list.
Spain's David Ferrer, currently top billing at the Heineken Open in Auckland, continues to benefit from his countryman Rafael Nadal's injury and illness-enforced absence, taking the number four ranking and thus avoiding any of the top three players until at least the semi-finals.
