Chelsea won't offer Lampard contract extension

The English football clubChelsea have told Frank Lampard's agent the England midfielder will not be offered a new contract with the European champions at the end of the premier league season.

Lampard's agent Steve Kutner has told the Daily Mirror Chelsea executives told Lampard in Japan during the Club World Cup, then again reconfirmed with him after the Everton victory that in no circumstances will he be offered a new contract at the club.

Kutner says nothing has changed.

Lampard scored both goals against Everton in a 2-1 league win at the end of December and Chelsea fans have chanted 'sign him up' throughout recent matches.
