The women's world triathlon number three Andrea Hewitt will make a rare home appearance when she competes in the Contact Tri Series at Pegasus, just north of Christchurch on Sunday.
The event will be the Cantabrian's first competition of the year and the race will also feature Wellingtonian Kate McIIroy, who's ranked 10th in the world.
