The Australian rugby first five Quade Cooper has been pitted against Muay Thai veteran Barry Dunnett for his professional boxing debut scheduled in Brisbane next month.
Muay Thai rules allows the use of elbow and knee.
Cooper is on the undercard of Sonny Bill Williams' bout with Francois Botha, which will keep him out of the Queensland Reds' second and final pre-season super rugby trial.
The Brisbane Times reports Dunnett has fought for a Queensland light heavyweight Thai boxing title and has had two pro-boxing fights, one win and one loss, in 2010.
