Chelsea's former England football captain John Terry, out for two months with a knee injury, has taken his first major step towards a first-team comeback by playing 45 minutes for the club's Under-21 team.
Terry was watched by Chelsea's interim manager Rafael Benitez when he featured as an over-age player in a 2-nil victory over neighbours Fulham.
Terry hurt his knee against Liverpool, his first match back after serving a four-game ban for racially abusing Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand, and was initially expected to be sidelined for three weeks.
