New Zealand's No 1 tennis player Marina Erakovic will play the world number 40 Alize Cornet from France in the first round of the Australian Open.
If Erakovic, ranked 67th in the world, advances to the second round she will likely play the intimidating Venus Williams, who has a number of grand slam titles to her name.
