The German second seed Philip Kohlschreiber has booked a spot in the final of the Heineken men's tennis open by beating Sam Querrey of the USA 6-4 7-6.

The fourth seed pushed Kohlschreiber in the second set, forcing a tie-break, but in the end the German was able to play with 6 match points and sealed entry into his second final in Auckland.

The 2008 champion will play either the reigning champion David Ferrer, or French wildcard Gael Monfils in the final.

Earlier the first seeds Colin Fleming of Great Britain and Bruno Soares of Brazil beat the Austrian-Slovakiancombo of Julian Knowle and Filip Polasek 7-6, 7-6, to advance to the doubles final.
