Chasing records not the priority for Ferrer

4:55 pm on 12 January 2013

The defending champion at the Heineken Open tennis tournament isn't too concerned about the prospect of equalling the all-time tennis records set in Auckland by the Australian great Roy Emerson.

Spain's David Ferrer who will face Germany's Philip Kohlschreiber in this afternoon's singles final is on the verge of three straight Auckland titles and four overall - the same as Emerson.

Ferrer says a record would be nice but he's focussed on producing a strong performance.

The action on centre court will start at midday with the doubles final.
