Auckland has grabbed the third and final spot in the HRV Cup Twenty20 cricket playoffs after beating Central Districts by six wickets at Eden Park.
Auckland take the last play-off spot on net run rate after finishing third equal with Northern Districts.
Auckland will now play second placed Wellington in the preliminary final on Friday, with the winner going on to meet Otago in the grand final.
Otago warmed up for the decider with a last-ball, three-wicket win over Canterbury.
