The New Zealand junior track cycling unit has made a solid start at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival with a silver medal in the Team Sprint.
The under-18 men's trio of Tasman's Quinn Karwowski, Aucklander Zac Williams and Jeremy Presbury of Southland finished second behind Australia in a time of 46 minutes and nine seconds.
All four sprinters will be back on the Sydney velodrome today as individuals in the Keirin, while Chad Elliston of Auckland and Southland's Liam Aitcheson get underway in the multi-leg Omnium competition.
