The New Zealand cricket coach Mike Hesson admits it's been a challenging few weeks, with fingers pointed at him over the captaincy debacle, but says he's never doubted his ability to take the team to the World Cup in 2015.
Just days ago it was revealed that bowling coach Shane Bond wrote to New Zealand cricket late last year, outlining his belief that Ross Taylor was never offered the chance to continue in the test captaincy, and Hesson wanted Brendon McCullum to take over as skipper in all three forms of the game.
While the two coaches may not agree on what happened in the lead up to Taylor stepping down from any form of captaincy, Hesson says they met with Bond arrived in South Africa and they've put it behind them.
Hesson says he's very focussed on the World Cup in 2015 and has a clear direction of where the side is heading.
