NZ junior beaten in second round of Australian Open

The New Zealand tennis player Cameron Norrie has been beaten in the second round of singles at the Australian Open Juniors after coming up against the new world No1 ranked player.

Seventeen year-old Aucklander Norrie who is currently 44th on the ITF junior rankings lost to Australian third seed, Nick Kyrgios of Australia 6-3 6-1 breaking his big-serving opponent on a couple of occasions, but being out-gunned by the powerful Australian.

Kyrgios is set to be the world No.1 junior when the new rankings come out on Monday, already has an ATP ranking, and was a quarter-finalist at the Wimbledon and US Open Juniors.
