The Wellington Phoenix football coach Ricki Herbert says his side threw away two points rather than picking up one in their 1-1 draw with Newcastle in the capital.
The result ended a four-match losing streak, but the result didn't satisfy anyone in Wellington.
The Jets grabbed the equaliser from the free kick when Phoenix defender Tony Lochhead was sent off midway through the second half.
Herbert says he thought there was only one team in the game and he didn't think they looked threatened at all.
The Phoenix remain bottom of the table, but Herbert says with other sides in the bottom half losing, they're still a chance for the play-offs.
Wellington play Perth in Auckland next weekend and Herbert says he feels the home games will be crucial for them.
