Spurs, Liverpool out of FA Cup

Updated at 5:04 am on 29 January 2013

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have become the 12th and 13th English Premier League football clubs to be knocked out of the FA Cup.

Spurs lost to the Championship side Leeds 2-1 in their fourth round match at Elland Road, and last year's beaten finalists Liverpool went down 3-2 at third division Oldham.

The holders and European champions Chelsea needed an 83rd-minute equaliser from Fernando Torres to rescue a 2-2 draw at the west London third-tier club, Brentford.

In the biggest upset of the weekend Luton Town became the first non-league side for 24 years to knock out a top flight team when they beat Norwich City yesterday 1-0.
