Warne calls for Stephen Fleming as Australian coach

The ever-quotable Shane Warne has called for a wholesale cleanout of Australian cricket, and among his all-encompassing suggestions is that the former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming should replace Mickey Arthur as the national coach.

The great leg spinner, who said earlier this week that Cricket Australia's selection policy had become a joke, has also suggested an all-new selection panel which should include the national captain, but not the coach, and he'd like to see the former test captain Mark Taylor become Cricket Australia's chief executive of cricket.

Warne says the team's results prove the current setup isn't working, and he wants to discuss his ideas with Cricket Australia's boss James Sutherland in the next few days.
