Maitland set for Scotland debut

12:53 pm on 30 January 2013

Only three months after arriving in Scotland, the former Crusaders wing Sean Maitland is set to join the ranks of the 'kilted Kiwis' having been named in Scotland's starting lineup in the opening round of the Six Nations this weekend.

The 24-year-old is on a three-year contract with Glasgow, and Maitland is about to follow the likes of New Zealand-born Sean Lineen and the Leslie brothers, John and Martin, in representing Scotland.

Saturday night's match at Twickenham will be the 131st edition of rugby's oldest international fixture, first played in 1871.

Scotland, the wooden spooners from last year's Six Nations championship, haven't beaten England at Twickenham for 30 years.
