Tottenham Hotpsur have beaten West Bromwich Albion 1-nil to move within a point of third-placed Chelsea in the English Foootball Premiership.
Gareth Bale scored his 11th goal of the season with a 68th minute strike from outside the penalty area, 20 minutes after West Brom's Goran Popov was sent off, apparently for spitting in the direction of a Spurs defender.
Tottenham moved within a point of third-place Chelsea in the fight for the remaining Champions League spots behind the Manchester clubs.
Manchester City are playing Liverpool this morning.
