The Australian opening batsman Shane Watson celebrated his return to international cricket with a sparkling innings of 122 to lead Australia to a 39-run victory over West Indies in the third one-dayer and an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series.

In the first one day international played in Canberra, Watson led the home side to 329 for seven, and the West Indies flirted with reaching their challenging target before being dismissed for 290.

The West Indies will be playing for pride in the last two games in Sydney and Melbourne.
