The All Blacks wing Cory Jane is only hopeful that he'll play rugby again this year.
Jane is still waiting on a surgery date for a ruptured knee ligament suffered in pre-season training.
The 30-year-old says the Hurricanes and All Blacks have told him to take his time in recovery.
Jane says he was hopeful of making the All Blacks end of year tour, but that will depend on what the surgeon says after the procedure.
He says in the end he'll just be happy to get back on the field this year.
Jane says his wife is expecting their fourth child in the next few weeks so that will help take his mind of rugby.
