Breakers hopeful Hudson will be back sooner rather than later

The Breakers medical staff are hopeful centre Will Hudson can be back on court in four weeks - just before the Australian National Basketball League playoffs.

Hudson suffered knee ligament damage in the side's last-round win over Sydney at the weekend.

The expected recovery time is four to six weeks and team doctors hope to have him back playing in a month's time, against Cairns on March 7th or a week later for the penultimate round of the regular season against Melbourne.

The Breakers could have problems if Hudson's unable to play, as they're unable to qualify a replacement in time to play in the post-season - under the competition rules a replacement player must play seven regular season games to be eligible, and there are now only six left.
