Kahui confirms he's leaving for Japan

The Chiefs midfielder and recent All Black Richard Kahui has confirmed he will leave New Zealand to play in Japan with the Toshiba club for the next two seasons following the upcoming Super Rugby competition.

Kahui says he loves being a Chief, but it is no secret that he's had his fair share of injuries which have forced him to make some very hard decisions about his future and make the most of the opportunities while he can.

Kahui has played 17 tests for the All Blacks since making his debut in 2008 and has scored 10 tries.

He says this has been one of the hardest decisions he has had to make in his career, but while he is excited by the experience ahead of him with Toshiba, he has been honoured to play for his country, franchise and province and has not taken lightly the decision to leave that behind.

Kahui says he has come to the conclusion that at this stage of his career it is the right move, but he is desperate to do everything in his power to help lead the Chiefs to another title.
